Being a 2nd Unit Director is a job I really enjoy. Its an adrenaline kick to solve assignments coming from the main Director, and I imagine its a bit like being in a war (without the weapons). I depend so much on my team that I have to be emphatic which sometimes is a challenge. Its probably like democracy with a dictator.
Shot at Pinewood studios outside London for almost 5 months all together.
Fantastic experience working as 2nd Unit Director on this show.
Great UK crew made my job a lot easier and hopefully better than I imagined.
Main Director-Joachim Rønning
Heres a collage of some of the scenes and shots we did during 5 months of shooting in Queensland , Australia.Great crew and great cast
What a blast!!! (Special thanks to my DP Brad Shield for this edit)
Main Director-Roenberg
Shot in Iceland 2018, on a glacier, Greenland dogs, sleds and blizzards. Had a drone and a camera on Ski Doo, and the Dp´s did an amazing job in a short time.
I really enjoyed the challenging conditions, maybe because I come from a snowy place and love dogs.
Main Director- Espen Sandberg
Luc Besson Ok´d me for this job in Mexico. My first as a 2nd Unit Director, and I loved it. Mexico and Mexicans are amazing.
Got star struck by these ladies, they where decent superstars with no chip on their shoulder and lots of fun.

After my Film/Photo education I started working on Commercials as a runner, later moved on to production, 1st AD, and finally started Directing. I find that having learned the ropes by being part of different departments, I know what it takes to do the job, and therefore I avoid making crazy-stupid decisions less often.
I was free to come up with the Idea, no agency this time, and by luck it won EEA (Gold 2017)
One of my first jobs, still happy with the result.
Agency-Leo Burnett
Went Bananas and got this concept accepted by the Agency after a long haul.

Shooting Documentaries and NGO shorts is a privilege because thats where I meet some of the most fantastic people. I feel they need me, and I surely need them.
Many years ago I saw this old man playing bootleg Louis Armstrong Jazz tunes from a Cassette player (look it up young ones) he brought to my kayak Club i Oslo.
We started talking, and so this documentary came to life. The man is passed, but heres some of his life.
